The 2023 AGM of the Little Waltham Gardening Club was very well attended and it was reported
that despite the increase in insurance and speakers fees over the last year, our year end balance remains healthy.
During the past 12 months, we have increased our membership and had some excellent speakers and also during the summer months enjoyed visits to some lovely gardens around Essex. We celebrated 40 years of the gardening club with a beautifully decorated cake which was cut by our Vice President Pip Wickham.
Our chairperson, Maggie Williams advised that the President’s Trophy had been won this year by Marion Lawson. It was unanimously agreed by the members that the Christmas meeting will again be held in house at the Memorial hall.
Our next meeting will be the Spring Show to be held on Saturday 8th April. You don’t have to be a gardener to enter as we have photography, sewing, crochet and all manner of crafts on the schedule.
